Maurice R. "Mike" Houle, 81, of Manchester died August 21, 2011 at Catholic Medical Center following a long illness.

He was born in Manchester on July 14, 1930 to Rodolphe and Rachel (Burlingham) Houle. He was raised by his Foster Mother Eva Samson.

He was educated in local schools and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for over 45 years.

He was the director of housekeeping at Catholic Medical Center for Service Master Inc.

Maurice enjoyed spending time with his family and was a past member of the Pinardville Lions Club.

Members of his family include, his beloved wife of 52 years, Jeanne (Levasseur) Houle of Manchester, three children, Marc Houle and his wife, Linda, of Hollis, Daniel Houle and his wife, Lisa, of Deerfield, and Michelle Mayo and her husband, David, of Goffstown; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great -granddaughter; a foster mother, Eva Samson; two foster brothers, Robert Desbiens and Richard Desbiens of Manchester; a foster sister, Violet Lacroix of Manchester; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He had a special relationship with his brother in law, George Levasseur.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
