She was born in Manchester on January 31, 1980, the daughter of John R. and Claire E. (Paris) Cantin. She was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester Memorial High School. She attended Notre Dame College prior to earning her nursing degree from Rivier College.
She had most recently been employed at the Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center as a registered nurse. She had previously worked at the Presentation of Mary Convent in Manchester.
Melissa will be remembered for her beautiful smile and willingness to support others. She loved helping everyone around her and had the gift of being patient with the elderly and kind to the young. Her nurturing personality was cherished by all who knew her.
Members of her family include her parents, John and Claire (Paris) Cantin of Hooksett; three children, Jonathan, Tehya, and Taylor J. Charbonneau, all of Manchester; two brothers, Matthew and Michael Cantin of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Joseph Cathedral, corner of Lowell and Pine Streets, on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Committal prayers and final interment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
