Michael R. Berube, 60, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away July 15, 2022 surrounded by his family in New Hampshire.
Born in Manchester on November 9, 1961, he was the son of Robert and June (Libby) Berube.
In 1979, Mike graduated from Manchester Memorial High School where he made friendships that lasted throughout his life. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire where he was a member of Sigma Beta Fraternity - loyalty and brotherhood.
Mike’s career journey in sales and entrepreneurship began at Sweetheart Plastics where he sold paper products and from there went on to form his own business that sold products across the globe to major corporations. Anyone who knew Mike personally can attest to his amazing interpersonal skills that led to many career successes throughout his life.
Although his roots were strong in New Hampshire and he found sanctuary and peace in his cabin getaway in the White Mountains, most of his life and sense of community was in Florida. After moving there in the late 1980’s, he settled in Mount Dora and found his forever home.
Mike had a passion for travel and loved cruises that allowed him to see new places and cultures. His personality was larger than life, a fun loving guy who lived life to the fullest. From golf trips with the boys, attending sports events, to skiing a black diamond in Steamboat & Telluride, he never said no to an adventure.
The stories and memories he left behind for those who loved him most will live on in the generations to come. His dance moves were second to none and he will forever be known as “the Beruff”.
Mike was predeceased by both of his parents. Family members include his siblings Andrew Berube and his wife Cathy of Goffstown, Kathrine Campono and her husband Michael of Weare. Theresa Skersey and her husband David of Goffstown. His beloved nieces and nephews, Candice Moul, Amelia Stasz, Nicholas Campono, Leana Spacone and Anthony Campono. His companion of many years Lisa Deneault-Fox of Mount Dora. He will be loved and remembered by so many close friends who became family.
