Michael J. Crowder

Michael (Mike) John Crowder, 65, of Manchester, passed away on November 26, 2022.

Mike was born in Chicago, IL on August 4, 1957 to the late Mary E. (Norton) Crowder and the late John T. Crowder.  He attended St. John Chrysostom in Bellwood, IL, Highland Hills Elementary School,  Westlake Jr. High, Montini Catholic High School (class of 1975) all in Lombard, IL, and University of Illinois, Champaign, IL.

Beside his mother and father, Mike was preceded in death by his precious daughter Riley (the late Major James) Spidel.

He is survived by the lights of his life, Taylor Crowder of Manchester, and Jameson Crowder of 

Portsmouth. He is also survived by his former wife Peg Crowder of Portsmouth, sisters Mary Pat Crowder of Oak Brook, IL, Barb (Bob) Frazee of Lombard, IL,  brother and lifelong best friend Kevin Crowder of Dallas, TX , and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

He was National Sales Manager at Kalwall Corp. for the last 7+ years.

Mike was an avid sports fan, not only to play and watch, but also in umping and coaching youth basketball, soccer, and Little League baseball. He loved a good game of golf whenever he could grab the time and organized many golf weekends around the country with his friends.  He was a passionate music fan.

SERVICES:  A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 30^th from 5 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, followed by a service in the funeral home at 7 pm.
