April 27, 1965 — May 6, 2021

Michael J. Campanella, 56, of Auburn, NH passed away on May 6, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Winchester, MA on April 27, 1965, he was the son of Vincent and Claire (Palumbo) Campanella. He was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School and earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, where he was Vice President of his fraternity. He worked as a software engineer for Newforma for 16 years.
Michael enjoyed playing pool with the Cowboy Junkies, researching his family tree, and playing the guitar. Michael was a huge New England Patriots fan, and also loved spending time searching for wildlife in his backyard and looking for snowy owls in the winter. He loved all kinds of technology, and gazing at the planets and galaxies on a clear night with his telescope. He was kind, smart and caring, but above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Family includes his wife of 16 years, Christine (Nordstrom) Campanella of Auburn, NH; his parents, Vincent and Claire Campanella of Wakefield, MA; one sister, Brenda Campanella and husband Mike Jech of Falmouth, MA; two brothers, Anthony Campanella and wife Beatrix Zimmerman of Darien, CT, and Kevin Campanella and wife Elisabeth Campanella of Dublin, OH; and his nieces and nephew.
