Born in Manchester on July 8, 1952, he was the son of Lionel and Beatrice (Tremblay) Dionne. He graduated from Memorial High School.
Prior to becoming disabled from the effects of muscular dystrophy, he had been employed by Kalwall Corp for many years. Previously, he had worked at Myrna Shoe.
Michel loved to play softball, cribbage, dance and listen to music. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling and was a dedicated New England sports fan. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and great-uncle who cherished time spent with family.
He was predeceased by his brother Henri Dionne.
Family members include his sister, Lucille Arute and husband Paul of Manchester; one niece, Lauren DuPaul and husband Christopher of Manchester; three nephews, William Arute and wife Judith of Santa Fe, NM, Stephen Arute of Manchester, and Jason Marcouillier of Cambridge, MA; two aunts, Claire and Helene Tremblay of Manchester; great-nephews, Isaac and William; great-nieces, Charlotte, Ava and Victoria. He was also predeceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
