Micheline M. Labbe

Micheline M. Labbe, 81, of Manchester died November 1, 2012 at the Hillsborough Country Nursing Home after a period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in St. Samuel, Quebec on September 25, 1931 the daughter of Ernest and Louise Anne (Lapierre) Roy.

Prior to retirement, she had worked as a caretaker for many years. She also worked as a seamstress in the local mills in Manchester for nearly 20 years.

Micheline enjoyed gardening, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her friends within the church community. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Marie Parish. Above all else, she lived life to its fullest and found her greatest joy spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Valere Labbe in 1992, following 40 years of marriage. Family members include her children, Diane L. Beique, Denis G. Labbe, Denise A. Miller, Therese F. Ouellette and husband Maurice, Manon J. Williamson and husband Bruce; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters and nine brothers; nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
