Mildred A. Kazanowski, 95, of Manchester, died December 21, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after a period of failing health.
Born in Manchester on August 21, 1922, she was the daughter of Jan and Czeslawa Kapela. She was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester West High School.
The focus of Mildred's life was her faith and her family. In her quiet and unassuming way she served others with kindness and love. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished traditions with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband John S. Kazanowski in 1985. She was also predeceased by four children, Eva Peterson, John L. Kazanowski, Mary Pawlowski, and Theresa Laflamme.
Family members include her children, Sister Jacqueline Mary Kazanowski of the Felician Sisters, William Kazanowski and his wife Claire of Florence, SC, Timothy Kazanowski and David Kazanowski, both of Manchester, three sons-in law, Robert Peterson, James Pawlowski and Jack Laflamme and a daughter-in-law, Joan Kazanowski, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 In St. Hedwig Church, Beech St., Manchester. Burial followed at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
