Milton “Pup” S. Davis Sr., 86, of Manchester died Wednesday August 3, 2022 at Elliot Hospital.
Born November 7, 1935 in Manchester, he was the son of Milton and Blanche (Nelson) Davis. He grew up in Auburn and Manchester. In 1961 he married his wife Irene (Sheedy) and they have enjoyed 61 years of marriage together.
Pup served 12 years in the Army National Guard. He also worked as grocery manager at Mammoth Mills for 22 years and was a chef at Saint Anselm’s College for 20 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks and a lifetime member of The Club Mont Royal. He loved the Red Sox, hornpout fishing, and vacations at Loon Mountain and Santa’s Village. He will be remembered for being a caring person and for his love of family.
Pup is survived by his wife Irene P. Davis; daughter Bonnie Divenuti & her husband Edward; sons Kevin Davis and Milton “Skip” Davis Jr. & his wife Sandra, all of Manchester; grandchildren Jeffrey Barnes & Robin Zayko and Sarah Papamichael & her husband Nicholas; and great-grandchildren Maverick & Kalvin Papamichael.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Monday August 8th from 4 to 7 pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. Manchester, NH 03104. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday August 9th at 11:30 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn, NH 03032. Committal will follow at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Manchester VA Hospital 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester or St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place., Memphis, TN, 38105.
