It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and wife, Monica H. Godin (Piotrowski), 87, who passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving husband and children.
Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on March 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Walter and Helen (Paskieka) Piotrowski. Monica graduated from Manchester Central High School, class of 1956. She was married to the love of her life, Roger, for over 67 beautiful years. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and shared laughter.
Her other family members include her children, Constance Roy of Londonderry, Helen Gagnon (John) of Laconia, Marc Godin (Veronica) of Manchester, Judy Hamel (Brian) of San Jose, CA; 8 grandchildren, Jacqueline Hazel (Mark), Jeffrey Gagnon (Blaire), Jenna Fulk (Quinn), David Gagnon (Sandra), Stephanie Godin (James), Nicholas Roy (Kelsey), Chad Hamel (Alex) and Savannah Godin (Joe); 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Theresa Gagnon of Manchester; brothers, Joseph Piotrowski (deceased) of CA, John Piotrowski (deceased) of Manchester, Thomas Piotrowski (Terry) of Raymond; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Monica spent her life in Manchester, NH but split her time between NH and Florida for the past 25 years.
Monica found happiness in life’s simple pleasures — crocheting and knitting blankets and scarves for loved ones, playing golf, or enjoying a game of cards with family and friends. But more than anything, she cherished her family, and her deep love for them was evident in everything she did.
Over the years, Monica held various jobs, but she was most proud of her 30 years as a toll attendant on the NH highway. Known for her warm smile and kind spirit, she touched the lives of countless travelers and coworkers alike.
Her infectious laugh, which could light up a room, will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
A gathering will begin at 9:30am followed by a memorial Mass at 10:00am on Friday, September 12th at St. Pius X Church, Candia Road, Manchester. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life will be held at Fratello’s in the Millyard, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Change of Pace Adult Daycare in Sebring, FL (https://www.changeofpacefl.com/donate).
She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will remain forever in our hearts.
