Monica M. Langley, 81, of Manchester, died August 10, 2008, at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Manchester on January 9, 1927, the daughter of Herve and Marguerite (Dubord) Dery. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

Monica, known as Mammy by her friends and family, was a woman of many talents, from her sewing to cooking her famous meat pies and apple pies. She loved babysitting her nieces and nephews and then her grandchildren, spoiling them with so much love.

She was predeceased by her husband Albert F. Langley in October of 2007.

Members of her family include two daughters, Margaret Stevens of Litchfield and Louise Lacroix of Merrimack; two sons, Alan Langley of Manchester and Donald Langley of Mobile, Alabama; eleven grandchildren, Teri, Nicholas, Albert, Jessica, Amy, Donald, Jocelyn, Camille, Nicole, Daniel, and Rachel; nine great-grandchildren; two surviving sisters, Marcy Martin of Shapleigh, Maine, and Gaby Dery of Toms River, New Jersey; two brothers, Robert Dery of Merrimack and Camille Dery of Manchester; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held Thursday, August 14, 2008 in the funeral home chapel.
