Monique Sapienza

Monique (Rousseau) Sapienza, 74, of Manchester died August 24, 2007 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness.

Born in Rimoski, Quebec on January 5, 1933, she was the daughter of Adelard and Elizabeth (Ruest) Rousseau. She lived in Manchester most of her life.

She graduated from the Notre Dame Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Catholic Medical Center and St. Teresa Manor for many years.

Mrs. Sapienza was an active member of the Ladies Guild at St. Pius X Church and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

She was married to Dominic J. Sapienza who died on June 21 of this year.

The family includes a daughter, Stephanie R. Stevens of Epping; three sisters, Therese Cloutier of St. Jerome, Quebec, Suzanne Bourassa of Lititz, PA and Denise Giammarco of Elgin, SC; a brother, Paul Rousseau of Rimoski, Quebec and cousins, nieces and nephews.

IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by a brother, George Rousseau in 1997.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday August 31, 2007 at St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Rd. and Sarto St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the Shaw Chapel of St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
