She was born in Manchester on July 12, 1927, the daughter of Alcide and Alma (Bisson) St. Pierre. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as an assembler for many years, most recently with Armtech.
Muriel will be remembered for her caring spirit and willingness to help others. She loved making crafts, solving word puzzles and excelled at painting.
She was predeceased by her first husband Francis C. Knights in 1975 and her second husband Roger C. LaBelle in 2001.
She was a parishioner of the former St. Therese Church.
Family members include three daughters, Dianne L. Temple and her companion Steve Davies, both of Weare, Marlene M. Bernard and her husband Roger of Manchester, Brenda Lee D. Knights of Manchester; three grandchildren, Elyssa L. Wheeler of Weare, Shanna D. Bernard of Manchester, and Robert F. Knights of Manchester; two great-grandchildren, Alexys M. Wheeler of Weare and Kylee A. Bernard of Manchester; her niece and Godchild, Joanne Douglass of Las Vegas and her son, Christopher Douglass of Allston, MA; one brother, Edward St. Pierre of Londonderry; one step-daughter, Patricia Beaulieu of Manchester; two step-sons, Richard and Ronald LaBelle; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Lionel, Roland, Robert, Ernest and Roger as well as one sister, Lucille Plantier.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, So. Elm St. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
