She was born in Manchester February 22, 1927 to Frank and Anna(Cronin) Lawlor.
She received her early education locally and later graduated from the NH School of Accounting, now Hesser College.
Muriel worked as a receptionist and secretary at Mt. Carmel nursing home for over fifteen years.
She enjoyed playing golf at Intervale Country Club. She was a loyal Red Sox and New England Patriot fan. In her spare time Muriel enjoyed keeping track of the action of the Manchester Fire Department with her fire radio.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Family members include 2 grandchildren, Patrick and Erin Mills, of Manchester; her brother Edward Lawlor, of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Thomas Mills, in 2000, her husband John Mills, in 2002, her sister Maryanne Welch, in 2007.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, Lowell St. Manchester.
Burial took place at St.Joseph Cemetery on February 3, 2012.
