Muriel Sauvageau

Muriel (Martel) Sauvageau, 92, of Manchester, died January 10, 2025 surrounded by her family.

 Born in Manchester on August 29, 1932, she was the daughter of Edouard and Marie A. (Aubin) Martel. She was educated in the local school system.

 Prior to retirement, she had worked as an administration assistant for various local advertising companies, the most recent being Pannos Marketing.

 Staying very active well into her 90’s, Muriel enjoyed skiing, traveling, tennis and working out and especially looked forward to hosting large family gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice Sauvageau in 1984 and her brother, Donald Martel.

 Family members include her children, Robert Sauvageau and wife Virginia of Henniker, Elaine Noel and husband Rene of Manchester, Marc Sauvageau and wife Deborah of Hudson, NH, Norman Sauvageau and wife Patty of Bedford, NH; her cousin, Carmel Gill who was like a sister to her; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

 Per her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16th at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to support St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
