Nancy C. Martel

Nancy C. Martel, 81, of Manchester died January 17, 2018, at her residence.
Born in Goffstown on October 8, 1936, she was the daughter of Otis and Alice (Boucher) Shedd. Nancy was educated in Manchester. She dedicated her life to her family and supporting her husband's career in the US Marine's. She was a very active member of the Marine Corp. Wives and of the Salvation Army.
Nancy enjoyed shopping and traveling, and she had a passion for reading. She was a kindhearted and very generous woman. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Family includes her beloved husband of 60 years, Lucien M. Martel of Manchester; one daughter, Debra Beliveau and husband Dave Chatfield of Manchester; one son, Brian Martel and spouse Deborah Vessey of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Jessica Dubois, Dustin Beliveau, William Barnard, Jr., and Bryan Barnard; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Austin, Caitlyn, and Rylee; one sister, Diane Hobart of Manchester; two brothers, Richard Shedd and wife Connie of Manchester, and Daniel Shedd of Loudon; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service took place on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. Encryptment followed at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D. W. Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303. Memorial donations may be made in Nancy's memory to: Salvation Army, 121 Cedar St., Manchester, NH 03101.
