Nancy L. (Boucher) Veilleux, 74, of Hooksett, died December 31, 2017 at Concord Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Bellows Falls, VT on May 4, 1943 to Edward C. and Irene G. (Gonyer) Boucher. She grew up in Claremont and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1961. Nancy lived in Hooksett for 46 years and wintered in Bonita Springs, FL for the past 15 years.
Nancy worked as a reporter and photographer for the Hooksett Banner for 19 years. She had a passion for gardening and was a past president of the Hooksett Garden Club and was given a life membership award to the NH Federated Garden Club. Nancy enjoyed camping, traveling extensively with her husband and ice skating. She also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Queen City Promenaders in Manchester and the Snobirds Square Dance Club in Bonita Springs.
She was predeceased by her parents and two siblings, Donice and Norman.
The family includes her husband of 53 years, Robert A. Veilleux of Hooksett; four children, Wendy L. Smith and her husband, Kevin R., of Auburn, Donna M. Demers and her husband, Brian Knowlton, of Hopkinton, Bruce R. Veilleux and his wife, Amy, of Henniker and Michael Veilleux and his wife, Stacie, of Weare; eight grandchildren, Haley, Keara, Nathan, Samantha, Ethan, Jack, Owen and Emily; her beloved sister, Fran Boucher of Bonita Springs, FL; and many other extended family members.
A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
