Nassim I. Sleiman

Born in Joun, Lebanon on January 17, 1919, he was the son of Ibrahim and Chafika Sleiman. He was educated in Lebanon and emigrated to the United States in 1988.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a policeman in Beirut, Lebanon from 1947 to 1962. After moving to the Manchester area, he became an active member of Our Lady of the Cedars Parish and been the church's cantor for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife Salwa (Haddad) Sleiman of Manchester; his children, Nabil Sleiman and wife Anne Marie of France, Najwa and husband Kamal of Manchester, Naji Sleiman and wife Nancy of Houston, Naila and husband Pierre of France; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Our Lady of the Cedars Church, corner of Mitchell St and Calef Road. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.
