Nellie Elizabeth Donah, 98, of Hudson, passed away on January 17, 2019 at Southern NH Regional Hospital following a brief illness surrounded by her family.
She was born in Nashua on March 7, 1920, to the late Alexander and Anna (Ziedialute) Klimas and had resided in the Nashua area all of her life.
Nellie graduated from Nashua High school class of 1938 and went right to work at the Textron Mills along side of her mother and siblings. For years after that she was a sales clerk at various department stores and most recently an office assistant and inventory manager at Continental Academie of Hair Design in Hudson until her retirement in 2005.
She loved oil painting, rug braiding, quilting, sewing, gardening and she also enjoyed walking in her neighborhood, reading, cooking and doing puzzle books. She was a member of the Hudson Seniors.
Family members include her daughter, Sylvia Donah of Litchfield NH; her two sons, Edgar Donah Jr. of Litchfield and Dennis Donah, of Hudson; two grandchildren, Janet Reeve and Timothy Donah; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friend, Suzanne Prince. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edgar and her brothers, Alexander Klimas, Andrew Klimas, John Klimas and her sisters, Mary Lindquist and Katherine Roby.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Cosmetology Scholarship Fund C/O Continental Academie of Hair Design Scholarship Program, P. O. Box 370 Hudson NH 03051.
