Nellie K. Watts, 98, of Manchester died January 20, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester on December 19, 1919, she was the daughter of Benedyk and Katarzyna (Piotroska) Matyasz. She was educated in Manchester and a graduate of Central High School. Nellie was fluent in both Polish and Lithuanian.

Nellie worked in Chicopee Mills until retirement, but was also an artist of oil and pastel paintings. She was a parishioner of OLPH Parish and of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. For many years Nellie and her husband Paul would spend time with their family vacationing and boating in the Lakes Region of NH. She also enjoyed time spent visiting relatives in Florida, at Disneyland as well as Amish Country, Hershey Park, and New York City. Above all, Nellie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Nellie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Paul E. Watts, in 1999.

Family includes one daughter, Nancy Demers and husband Raymond of Bedford; one son, Richard Watts, of S. Paris, ME; eight grandchildren, Diane Denoncourt, Paula Gagne, John Demers, Debbie Camirand, Patty Watts, Richard Watts, Jr., David Watts, and James Watts; eleven great grandchildren; nine great great geandchildren; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also predeceased by one brother, Albert Watts.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. To leave a message of condolence, please go to www.lambertfuneralhome.com.
