Nicole Poisson

Sister Nicole Poisson, 63, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 at St. Joseph residence following a period of declining health.

Born in Kinsey Falls, Quebec on July 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Marielle (Rondeau) Poisson. She entered the Presentation of Mary Congregation in Hudson, NH in 1966. She made her First Profession in 1968 and Final Profession in 1973.

Her early assignments in community services were in Berlin, Hudson, Manchester, and in Rhode Island. She ministered as a CNA at St. Francis House in Woonsocket, RI, PMA in Hudson and at St. Joseph Residence in Manchester. She was a member of the Core Community at Our Lady of Hope, House of Prayer in New Ipswich, and a member of the Support Group at the PM Novitiate in Hudson until 2006.

Family members include three brothers, Rejean Poisson and his wife Cecile of Hooksett, Marc Poisson of Boston, MA, and David Poisson of Manchester; one sister-in-law, Olga Poisson of Seattle, WA; one sister, Louise Brow and brother-in-law Russell of Manchester; nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Sister Nicole was predeceased by her sister Francine Poisson Corriveau in 1984 and her brother Michel in 2008.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial followed in Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
