Noella D. MacDougall

Noella D. (Giguere) MacDougall 89, died Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Bowman Place, Bedford, NH. 

 Born in Manchester, NH on December 23, 1934. She was the daughter of Albert N. and Armoza (St. Pierre) Giguere.  She was raised in Manchester, NH and attended local schools and graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1953.

 Noella married George A. MacDougall in 1964 and they moved to San Diego, CA where her husband was stationed at the submarine base in Point Loma.   In 1967 they returned to New England and resided in Marlboro, MA for 13 years. In the early 1980’s they moved to Goffstown, NH and after a few years she moved back to Manchester where she lived close to family for 35 years.

 Noella worked 11 years at BankEast, beginning as a teller and later attaining the title of Corporate Trust Officer. Prior to retirement she worked for the NH Health & Education Facilities Authority in Concord NH as the administrative assistant. After her retirement in 1999 Noella enjoyed working part-time for the Currier Museum of Art for 5 years.

 She greatly enjoyed long walks at the beach, listening to the surf, music, reading, playing cards and luncheons with her good friends and of course spending time with her family. She especially doted on her only grandson Joshua MacDougall.  She was a communicant of St. Peter Church in Auburn and also a member of the Ladies Guild.

 Noella’s family includes her daughter, Donna Theroux and partner Joanne of Clifton, NJ; her son Timothy MacDougall of Goffstown, NH; grandson Joshua MacDougall of Manchester; two sisters Violet Croteau of Manchester and predeceased, Muriel Spenard; nieces and nephews Dennis, Elaine, Donald and Brenda, Lisa, Bertrand, Doreen and Pete, Daniel and Sharon, Christine, and all their families.

 In lieu of flowers please make donations to Precious Blood Monastery of Manchester or St. Peter’s Parish of Auburn, NH in Noella MacDougall’s name.

 Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Peter Church, Auburn, NH. Committal Prayers will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Manchester.
