Noella Bella Vermette, 89, of Manchester died November 10th, 2016 at a local nursing home after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on December 19th, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph and Demancia (Harrington) Filteau. She was educated in the local school system.
Noella had worked at Squog Fruit and later volunteered for the Veterans Hospital pharmacy as a tech. She had received numerous awards for her substantial volunteer hours. She was an officer in the Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary and was an active communicant of St. Marie Parish. She enjoyed traveling with her family and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo E. Vermette.
Family members include her daughter Annette Ullrich of Cape Coral, FL.
A service was held on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
