Noreen M. Leahy, 88, of Bedford, NH, formerly of Sarasota, FL, died September 17, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Englewood, NJ on May 15, 1930, she was the daughter of Arthur and Frances (Eichler) Herring.
She will be remembered as a quick witted woman who cherished her family. She and her husband loved holiday parties, playing Skit Skat with their grandchildren and sharing recipes from their family cookbook.
Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Richard J. Leahy in 2011.
Family members include her children, Ellen Shultz and husband Kirk of Stratford, CT; Richard Leahy and fiancée Joanne of Northvale, NJ; Michael Leahy of Hyannis, MA; Nancy Smith and her husband Arthur of Amityville, NY; Susan Foote and husband Kenneth of Bedford, NH; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Road, Bedford.
A memorial service will be celebrated in Sarasota, Florida at the convenience of the Family.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Home & Hospice Program. 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, N.H. 03054 or to St Jude's Hospital.
