Norman A. Paris

Norman A. Paris, 65, of Manchester, died October 9, 2016 after a courageous fight with cancer, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family & friends.
He was born in Manchester October 1, 1951, the son of Alfred and Marguerite (Pellerin) Paris. Norman was a graduate of Manchester West High School and a lifelong resident of Manchester. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 1976. He was employed by the City of Manchester Highway Department, Division or Public Works, for 37 years before retiring in 2015.
Norman was a volunteer of Boys Scout Troop 106 from 1992 to 2010. He enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, and vacationing with his wife Sue. He was extremely social and always looked forward to the fun times he spent with his family and friends. Norman gave of himself wholly and was the glue that held the family together. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan J. (Pinard) Paris, of Manchester; two daughters, Jamie Paris and significant other Frank Daniels, and his children, Jakob, Bradley, and Kennedy of Manchester, and Kathleen Sanborn and husband Jared, and their children Lillyan and Marek; one son Thomas Paris and wife Heather, and her daughter Haley; six sisters, Jane Fournier of Hooksett, Rita Huard and husband Paul of Manchester, Betty Corbiel and husband Paul of Manchester, Claire Cantin and significant other Bill Peck of Glen, Sandra Belanger and husband Maurice of Manchester, and Priscilla Provencher of Concord; three brothers, Paul Paris and wife Merle of Manchester, Donald Paris and wife Helene of Manchester, and Edward Paris and wife Lorraine of Manchester; brother-in-law and lifelong friend , John Cantin and wife Heidi of Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents; two brothers, Raymond and Alfred Paris; and niece Melissa (Cantin) Charbonneau.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norman's name may be made to: Dartmouth Hitchcock/Geisel Development Office, One Medical Center Dr., HB 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
