Norman R. Cote

He was born in Manchester and was the son of Edward and Maria Aimee (Poirier) Cote.

He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in 1952, earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Anselm College, a Masters Degree from Middlebury College in Vermont, and his Doctorate of Education Degree from Boston University. He was a Fulbright Scholarship recipient for two years, studying in France at Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Norman taught at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, Rivier College in Nashua and Notre Dame College in Manchester. He also taught at Woburn (MA) High School where he was chairman of the Foreign Language Department, and for 30 years at North Shore Community College in Beverly, MA.

He enjoyed traveling, studying other cultures, reading, dancing and RV'ing. He was active with the Good Sam Club, the Family Motorcoach camping club, New Hampshire Granite Staters, Vermont Green Mountain and Massachusetts Yankee Travelers.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara (Shea) Cote; their adult children, Paul Cote and his wife, Mary Ellen, Priscilla Keaton and her husband, Christopher, and Daniel Cote and his wife, Victoria; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Adam Keaton.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne-St. Augustin Parish in Manchester at the convenience of the family.
