Norman J. Desrochers

October 19, 1926 — October 5, 2004

Norman J. Desrochers, 77, of Allenstown, died October 5, 2004, at Pleasant View Center, Concord, after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Rochester on October 19, 1926, and was the son of Edmond and Grace (Picard) Desrochers. He had been a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Parish.

Mr. Desrochers was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served during WWII and Korea. In the 1960's he was the proprietor of Norms Variety and Bongo Restaurant in Pinardville. Later he opened the Norman and Willie's Ceramic shop in Suncook.

He was the President of the NH Ceramics League for over 25 years. Mr. Desrochers was an avid stamp and coin collector for many years. He was a member of the Suncook American Legion.

Family members include 2 brothers, Donald Desrochers, of Merrimack, and Armand Desrochers, of Suncook; several nieces and nephews and cousins; He was predeceased by a brother: Lionel Desrochers, and a lifelong friend and business partner, Wilfred Dube.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday October 8, 2004 in St. John the Baptist Church, 10 School St. Suncook.

Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
