Norman G. Cote, 83, of Manchester, died peacefully, on July 22, 2017 at Manchester VA Medical Center, after a period of declining health.
Born in New Britain, CT on May 17, 1934, he was the son of Alfred and Blanche (Beaupre) Cote. Norm attended local schools in New Britain. He joined the US Air Force, serving in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 2nd Class in 1955. He worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service for 20 years before retiring in 1999.
Norm enjoyed bowling, playing poker, golfing and traveling with his late wife Arlene. He loved spending time with his family and his faithful companion Archie. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Arlene C. (O'Brien) Cote in 2011.
Family includes one son, Gary Cote and his fiancée Kelly Tibbetts of Manchester; one daughter, Linda Moore and her husband Scott of Ft. Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Ron Moore, Logan Cloutier, and Griffin Cote; one great grandchild, Hailee Moore; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by three brothers.
A Celebration of Life took place on Wednesday,, July 26, 2017 in the Pappas Room, at Puritan Backroom Restaurant, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester, NH 03104. An urn encryptment took place on Thursday, July 27, 2018 in NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
