Norman Goguen, of Port Orange, Florida passed away February 27, 2026, surrounded by his family at High Point Hospice in Haverhill, Massachusetts after a brief illness. He was 91. Born on September 4, 1934, to the late Leo and Ludia (Leger) Goguen, in New Brunswick, Canada, he was raised and educated there. On May 12, 1956, he married Albertine LeBlanc of Ste. Marie, New Brunswick, and they began to raise their family, which soon numbered four children.

Hard work and discipline were the foundation of Norman's future success, but the couple soon realized that opportunities were limited in their native home. They then made the difficult decision to uproot their young family and move to the Boston area.

Norman quickly began a long and successful career at United Parcel Service, where he excelled in a number of supervisory and management positions.

Norman and Albertine raised their family in Waltham, Massachusetts before Norman took a new assignment in New Hampshire, where they resided for seven years. While in New Hampshire, Norman took up flying and obtained his private pilot license. They then took a final transfer to Florida where they eventually built a retirement home.

In retirement, Norman and Albertine enjoyed traveling, especially their yearly trips north to New England to visit their growing family. Norman and Albertine enjoyed 49 years of marriage until her sudden passing in 2005. Norman subsequently married Bernice Leger, and they enjoyed many happy years together.

While his family grieves the loss of a father, grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend, they also celebrate a life well lived, whose daily saying was "if my feet touch the ground, it is a good day!”. Norman will be remembered for his authenticity, determination, generosity, and dry sense of humor.

Never one to sit idly, in retirement he built each granddaughter a two-story doll house which included hardwood floors and wallpaper in each room. He then taught himself the art of stained glass. He designed and made many pieces for family and friends which decorate their homes still.

Norman leaves his wife Bernice, now of Marlboro, MA, his children: Denise Logan (John) of Waltham, MA, Gerard Goguen (Linda) of Pembroke, NH, Denis Goguen (Cheryl) of Derry, NH, and Terrance Goguen (Carol) of Manchester, NH, his 8 grandchildren: Jay, Kate, Cristin, Derek, Casey, Amanda, Stephanie and Michael, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and in-laws both in Canada and the U.S. He was stepfather to Joanne Smith, Norma Knowlton, Paula Leger and the late Carol Carter. Norman was the brother of the late Yolande LeBlanc and her husband Joe of New Brunswick.

A funeral was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seaton Church in Bedford, NH on March 6, 2026. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bedford, NH.
