Norman Adrien Poisson

Norman Adrien "Fish" Poisson, 61, died July 8,2009 at Villa Crest Community after a two year battle with cancer.

He was born July 31, 1947 in Manchester, the son of Adrien and Collette I. (Morin) Poisson. He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School, class of 1965.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1966, where he completed basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and attended a course in Engineer Equipment Maintenance at Fort Belvoir, VA. Later he served in Korea with the 76th Engineering Battalion.

In March of 1971, he was awarded a certificate of completion for the Airframe and Power Plant Technician curriculum at Embry- Riddle Aeronautical University.

He worked many years for Improved Machinery/Ingersoll-Rand, Continental Can Company, Johnson Control, and the New Hampshire Youth Development Center (YDC)in Manchester.

During his youth, he was a member of his church's choir. While in high school, he was a band member and played the clarinet. He was an Assistant Coach for Hudson's little league.

He enjoyed fishing, boating, Hampton Beach, Daytona Beach, and was a serious Patriots and Red Sox Fan.

Mr. Poisson volunteered for veteran causes, especially, transporting members of Disabled American Veterans (DAV)

In His Life: He is survived by his son Darryl Poisson and his wife Pamela, of Spring Hill Florida; and his daughter, Amanda Brown, and her husband Stephen of Stevenville, Montana; his grandson Johnathan Joseph Poisson; his granddaughter Shaelynn Mary Brown; three sisters, Claudette and her husband Paul Leonard of Bedford; Constance Cameron of Port Orange Fl; Joanne Grenon and her husband Normand of Merrimack; and a brother David Poisson (Fish) of Amherst, and several nieces and nephews.

In Addition, a Stepfather, Leo J. Grenon of Bedford; two stepsisters, Murial Williams and her husband Douglas of Manchester Priscilla Grenon of Thetford Mines, Que., two step brothers, Normand Grenon and his wife, Joanne of Merrimack and Dennis Grenon of Manchester.

The funeral service was held Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. He was interred at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
