Normand A. "Norm" Lemay, 73, of Manchester, died unexpectedly on May 1, 2022, at Elliot Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester on February 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Alpha J. and Dora A (Routhier) Lemay. He was a graduate of Memorial High School and served in the National Guard for over 6 years. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 633, New England Teamsters and Baking Industry, and worked in sales for Canada Dry, Wonder Bread and Hostess for over 30 years before retiring in 2005.
Norm loved his family deeply. His sons were his pride and joy and time spent with his grandchildren was priceless to him. He enjoyed woodworking and made special pieces for his family. He loved to help everyone in any way that he could. Norm and Judy were inseparable and loved hanging out together and taking cruises. In the fall, they enjoyed vacationing with his big brother and best friend Ronnie and his wife Irene in Myrtle Beach, and in the summer with his "favorite" sisters-in-law, Debbie and Patti at Hampton Beach.
Norm was very kind, selfless, patient and an all-around good guy. Above all else, he will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, Pepere´, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
Surviving family members include his wife of 21 years, Judith E. (Welch) Lemay; three sons, Craig Lemay and wife Kimberly, Jason Lemay and wife Corrine, and Michael Lemay and wife Jessica; eight grandchildren, Tucker, Kaysyn, Donavin, Abigail, Paige, Natalie, Madison and Seth; one brother, Ronald Lemay and wife Irene; his sisters-in-law, Patti and Deborah Welch; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Macy Lemay in 2009; both parents; one sister, Pauline O'Gara and her husband James; and his father and mother-in-law, William and Louise Welch.
