Born in Manchester on March 18, 1925, he was the son of Willie and Aglae (Veilleux) Desilets. He lived in Manchester most of his life.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Desilets worked as a cabinetmaker at Hermsdorf Manufacturing Company in Manchester for many years.
The family includes two sisters, Georgette Gendron of Manchester and Marie Brunette of Northport, FL; a brother, Roger Desilets of Manchester and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Sacred Heart Church, 265 So. Main St., Manchester. Encryptment of cremated remains was at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Manchester.
