Normand R. Bouchard, 77, of Merrimack, died May 7, 2021, at his residence.
Born in Haverhill, MA on November 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jeannette (LaPlante) Bouchard. Normand was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School, class of 1961 and served in the Air National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He worked for NH Department of Corrections for over 15 years as an attendant /greeter and as a corrections officer.
Normand will be remembered as NH biggest NY Giants fan. He enjoyed time spent walking at the mall, watching movies and discussing politics. He was a very jovial man with a great sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and his laugh was very infectious. Normand was kind, generous and full of compassion. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend.
Family includes one daughter, Elaine J. Makara and husband Jonathan of Manchester; three grandchildren, Cameron, Maxwell and Caroline Makara of Manchester; one brother, Richard L. Bouchard and wife Janine of Manchester; and his nieces and nephew.
Services: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Thursday at Parish of Transfiguration, 107 Alsace St., Manchester, NH 03102. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH 03102. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Catholic Charities of NH, 215 Myrtle St., Manchester, NH 03104.
