Olga Tzetzas

July 10, 1930 — April 6, 2011

Olga Tzetzas, 80, of Manchester died after a courageous battle April 6, 2011 at St. Teresa Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Drakotrypa, Greece on July 10, 1930, the daughter of George and Aphrodite (Zournatzi) Skilogianis.

She had worked many years at Modern Bride, Waumbec Mills and Pandora prior to her retirement.

Olga will be remembered as an incredibly talented seamstress who also enjoyed baking, gardening and taking road trips to the White Mountains and Canada. Until her recent illness, she was an active member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral and had served on many women's organizations throughout the years. Above all else, Olga loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren and was happiest during Sunday afternoon family gatherings.

She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Thomas Tzetzas in 2010.

Family members include three daughters, Sandy Moreau and her husband Jack, Niki Giatrelis and her husband Stephen, Aphrodite Purdy and her fiance Jose Franco; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, and Christie Moreau, Lexi, Kalie and John Giatrelis, Theodore and Aristide Purdy; many nephews and nieces.

The funeral service was held Monday, April 11, 2011 in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 650 Hanover St. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Teresa Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, 519 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
