She was born May 20, 1923, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Edward and Millicent (Cumming) Cornell. Olive arrived in the United States as a World War II war bride in 1945 and became a US citizen in 1968. She worked for many years as a nurse in the operating room at Catholic Medical Center.
Olive was married to Maurice Beliveau, who died in 1964, and to Louis Cappuchi, who died in 1974. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Glennys and Maurice Bernard of Manchester, and Valerie and Calvin Daniel of Woodbridge, VA; four grandsons, Sean Bernard of Allenstown, Jay, and wife Amanda, Dugre of Owens Mills, MD, Beau, and wife Ellen, Bernard of Merrimack, NH, and Nathan Bernard of Boston, MA; ten great grandchildren, Devin, Cameron, Sarah, Adam, Alexandra, Aiden, Avery, Gabriella, Abigail and Hannah; one sister, Janice Mathieson of Bonnie Doone, Australia; one brother, Donald Cornell of Mornington, Australia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Olive was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104, followed by a private burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Olive's caregivers at VNA Hospice of Southern New Hampshire and Maple Leaf Health Care Center in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
