Owen R. Pierce, 86, of Hooksett, died April 15 at the Community Hospice House surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 12, 1932 to Warren C. and Viola (Woodbury) Pierce.
During his life he worked in construction for over 55years. In 1962 he went to work for Stebbins Construction and after 11 years the Stebbins family started Pro Con Construction for residential and light commercial building with Owen as President. He retired in 1997 as Vice-Chairman of the company
During his years in the industry, he had the opportunity to serve his community in a variety of ways. He volunteered much of his time for Easter Seals, the American Red Cross, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and over 30 years as a Rotarian with 2 Paul Harris Fellows.
He also served as President of the Associated General Contractors of NH in 1991.
During his life he was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska, Canada, Florida, Delaware and New England. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him
He is survived by his two children, Mark Pierce and his wife Paula, with their four children, and his daughter Cynthia Bannon and her husband Joseph and their four children.
He was predeceased by his wife Alice (Duval) Pierce in 2016, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
