Patricia C. Meehan, 84, of Bedford, died unexpectedly on June 9, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Clinton, ME on April 24, 1933, she was the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Gibson) Thrasher. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and then went on to nursing school with The Sisters of Mercy.
Patricia enjoyed reading and time spent at the beach. She had a passion for politics and history, and a love of animals. She Also enjoyed skiing and traveling abroad. She was an elegant woman who possessed class, style and poise. She was beautiful, both inside and out. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Family includes three daughters, Lori Jabar of Weare, Tami Pelletier and husband Michael of Weare, and Stephanie Miller and husband Alan of Hull, MA; two sons, Michael Jabar and wife Wendy Collins of Rye, and Greg Jabar and wife Carol Kremidas of Weare; eight grandchildren, Mitchell Pelletier, Alyssa Hackett, Joel Pelletier, Nicholas Jabar, Zachary Jabar, Jennifer Rarick, Sarah Jabar, and Kyle Miller; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Myers of Manchester. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Francis X. Meehan in 1995; and five siblings.
A Memorial Service took place on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester followed by committal prayers in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
