Patricia (Fuller) Downey

Patricia (Fuller) Downey, 85, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, surrounded by her devoted family, following a brief illness.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 6, 1940, Patricia was the cherished daughter of George and Ann Fuller. She was predeceased by her parents, her younger sister Theresa Fuller, and her beloved son Michael and his wife Lynn Evans.

Patricia was a proud graduate of Dorchester High School. She spent many years as a resident of Randolph, MA, later making her home in Hooksett, NH. She dedicated 23 years to Schmid Brothers of Randolph, importers of Goebel Hummels, and later worked with Furniture World of Manchester, NH, before retiring.

For 47 years, Patricia shared an inseparable bond with her beloved husband, Joseph Downey. Together, they found joy in life’s simple pleasures—frequent trips to Disney World in Orlando, lively games of cards, cooking, country line dancing, and savoring a good Bloody Mary. Patricia’s happiest moments were those spent by Joseph’s side, their love a constant source of strength and laughter.

Christmas was Patricia’s favorite season, a time she embraced with boundless joy. She delighted in holiday music, which she would have listened to year-round if she could. Above all, Patricia treasured her family. She looked forward to every gathering, cherishing time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Patricia’s warmth, humor, and devotion touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband Joseph; her daughter Susan Evans and Frank Stearns of Newton, MA; her daughter Marylou Ahern and her husband Frank Ahern of Pembroke, MA; her son Thomas Evans and his wife Heather Evans of Weymouth, MA; her brother Lawrence Fuller of Manchester, NH; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Patricia’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
