Patricia C. Peters

Patricia C. Peters, 71, of Bedford, died February 12, 2004, at the Elliot Hospital from complications due to breast cancer.

Born in Westford, MA, May 14, 1932, she was the daughter of Donald and Lydia (Griffin) Hill. She was a graduate of Newton High School and earned her RN degree at Newton-Wellesley School of Nursing in 1953. She worked several years as a nurse before leaving to raise her family. She later worked with her husband at their family owned Peters' Campus Services. She was a registered reflexologist and holistic practioner. She spent most of her life in New Hampshire with winters in Scottsdale, AZ and summers at Lake Winnepesauke.

She was a former den mother for Troop 113 in Manchester and a volunteer at New Horizons Soup Kitchen, creating more than one thousand sleeping bags for the homeless. She was predeceased by three siblings, Marjorie Gibson, David C. Hill and Ellyn Hildabrandt. She enjoyed gardening, bridge, cribbage and tennis. Her compassion, gifts of healing and laughter will be missed by many.

Family members include her husband of 50 years, Oscar A. Peters of Bedford; a daughter, Robin P. Whittier of Scottsdale, AZ; five sons, Timothy L. Peters of Londonderry, Steven J. Peters, William A. Peters, Joseph R. Peters, and Thomas Q. Peters, all of Manchester; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Donald Hill of Colorado Springs, CO.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday February 17, 2004 at St. Anselm Abbey Church, 100 St. Anselm Dr., Manchester. After cremation burial was in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
