Patricia Stips

Patricia Stips, 64, of Goffstown, died suddenly November 3, 2005, after a very brief illness.

She was born in Manchester on May 16, 1941, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Osip) Stips. She graduated from Manchester High School Central and Plymouth State College with a Master's Degree in Education.

She was a teacher in the Business Department at Manchester Memorial High School for more than 30 years.

She was devoted to education and community service. Her professional affiliations were with the National Education Association, Manchester Education Association, and NH Education Association. She was instrumental in coordinating and teaching the "FIRST" program at Memorial High which is a science and technology course that encourages students to follow their passion for science. She was Executive Board member and co-chairperson of the Manchester Women's Club. Miss Stips volunteered at the Goffstown Police Department and Goffstown library and served as a social committee member at the Village of Glens Falls.

World traveling was her passion. Reading mystery books and many other hobbies including a book discussion group, playing bingo, bowling, and golf kept her active. She was a devout member of the Hillside United Methodist Church and president of the church's Women Club. She also served as the church's representative at conventions.

An endless number of close and cherished friends will always remember how vibrant, caring, and full of life she was.

Family members include cousins, Madeline (Bachta) Clark of Dover, MA, Anthony Bachta of Goffstown, Stephen Wilcomb of Jamaica Plains, MA, Harrison Wilcomb of Wyoming, and Jacqueline Desfosses of Manchester.

Funeral services were Thursday November 10, 2005 at Hillside United Methodist Church in Goffstown. Burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
