He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 24, 1926 to William and Alice (Golden) Finn. He grew up in Brooklyn and lived in Lynbrook, NY most of his life before moving to New Hampshire four years ago.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Finn began his career as director of operations for Allstate Insurance Company in Connecticut. He then was a stock portfolio manager for Schroder Investment Management for many years.
While in Lynbrook, he was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and had volunteered with the parish social ministry.
He was married to Veronica A. (Igo) Finn, who died on the same date in 2010.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes two daughters, Alicia A. Finn of Manchester, NH and Kathy V. Stefanowicz and her husband, Paul, of Cohoes, NY; two grandchildren, Michael Patrick Stefanowicz and Eileen Stefanowicz; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, William Finn, and a sister, Mary Alice Lamneck.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, January 24, 2011 at St. Raphael Church, Walker Street, Manchester, NH. Committal prayers followed in the chapel of St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech Street, Manchester, NH.
