Patrick J. Mcgovern

Patrick J. McGovern Jr., 23, of Hooksett, NH died April 25, 2006.

He was born in Manchester, NH on April 15, 1983, the son of Patrick J. and Ellen (Fortin) McGovern. He was educated in the Hooksett school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central, Class of 2002. He was a 2006 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University.

Patrick loved fishing, skiing, his dog "Joppa" and spending time with his family at their cottage at Northwood Lake. He raced mountain bikes and rode on the EFTA circuit, attaining the rank of Expert.

He leaves his parents, Patrick and Ellen McGovern of Hooksett; three brothers, Michael, Kevin, and John McGovern, all of Hooksett; a sister, Margaret "Maggie" McGovern of Hooksett; maternal grandmothers, Catherine Carey Fortin of Manchester and Kathleen Fortin of Northwood; paternal grandmother, Helene McGovern of Manchester; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Joseph Cathedral on Friday April 28, 2006. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Mom's Place and Pregnancy Care Center at the CMC, 100 McGregor St, Manchester, NH 03102.
