Patrick (Mickey/Mike) M. Gilmartin was a Manchester resident at the time of his death on May 27, 2023. He lived most of his life with his wife and children in Concord, NH. He was born on December 24, 1950 to Stephen (Red) J. Gilmartin and Elizabeth M. (Burleigh) Gilmartin, both of Manchester, NH. He was the youngest of five children. He is pre-deceased by both parents, and two siblings, a sister, Elizabeth (Gilmartin) Griffon, and a brother, Stephen J. Gilmartin. Also brothers-in-laws, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Patrick was married to Ann Marie (Brodeur) Gilmartin for nearly 50 years. They have three grown children, Erin Brodeur (Gilmartin) Rose, Sean Patrick Gilmartin and Bryon Alexander Roger Gilmartin. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Patrick was a beloved father, husband, grandfather and a dedicated worker. He worked at the NH State Prison as a mental health counselor, at the Greater Manchester Mental Health Center , owned and operated his own photo business, Dunlap Photo Services in downtown Concord, NH. and ended his career as a Public Guardian at The Tri-State Community Action Program in Concord, N.H. for 26 years. He died from complications with dementia at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where he received the very best care from all the staff for which we are all thankful.
There will be no wake, instead a gathering, on Friday at 9:30am, prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester, NH. Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory is caring for him before cremation. A "Pot-luck" buffet will be had immediately after the service in the church function hall. Please bring a meal dish/food enough for a very large crowd of persons as the Gilmartin family has many members. All food types are encouraged, salads, desserts, appetizers, main meal both with meat and some meatless. The immediate family appreciates your help in the success of this after death luncheon. Plates, silverware and drinks will be provided (no alcoholic drinks please). Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
