Paul M. Archambault, 96, of Hooksett, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 after a period of declining health.
Born on February 3, 1922, the son of Ernest and Alice (Noiseaux) Archambault, Paul was a lifelong resident of Hooksett. A World War II veteran, Paul enlisted in the Army in 1940 and proudly served until 1945 as a paratrooper with the 507th Parachute Infantry. He married his wife A. Claire (Morin) Archambault in 1947 and was happily married for 49 1/2 years, before she passed away in 1997. Paul graduated from the Hesser Business College, but found his true calling as a finish carpenter, working for several local construction companies before his retirement in 1983. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and for his wonderful sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his wife A. Claire Archambault in 1997, his son Mark in 2017, brothers Armand, Gerald and Lionel Archambault and his sister Irene (Archambault) Goulet.
He is survived by his son Gary and his wife Geraldyn of Candia, NH; three grandchildren, April Muniz of Florida, Derek Archambault and his wife Alyssa Eygnor of Hooksett, NH and Kevin Archambault and his wife Brieanna of Manchester, NH; three great grandchildren, Jasmine Muniz, Maxwell Archambault and Jane Archambault; and by his sister in laws, Laurette Morin of Florida and Therese Archambault of Manchester; along with several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, 145 Lowell St. Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
