Paul Barry Fishbein, most recently of Lake Worth, Florida, and formerly a longtime resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on November 7, at the age of 84.
He was the only child born to Irene S. Fishbein and Max Fishbein, on September 11, 1941, in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Paul attended Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. It was here that he became a member of the Air Force Band, playing the trumpet.
After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he moved to Manchester, New Hampshire where he held a variety of positions in the shoe industry as well as the automobile and air conditioning businesses.
While living in New Hampshire, Paul was an active member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, the TAY Brotherhood, Jewish Community Center, and Jewish Federation of New Hampshire, as well as the YMCA of Greater Manchester, where he volunteered significant amounts of his time.
He leaves behind his children: Michael S. Fishbein, and his wife Amy, of Dallas, TX; Beth L. Bunseelal of Hollywood, Florida; and Ross W. Fishbein, and his wife Jennifer, of Bedford, NH. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Melissa Holmes, and her husband Chris; and Krishna Bunseelal; as well as four great-grandchildren. He is survived by several cousins, many friends, and his former wife, Arlene Levy Fishbein.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Manchester Hebrew Cemetery in Manchester, on Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00pm. Shiva will be held on Tuesday November 18th, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Temple Adath Yeshurun with Minyan being held at 6:15pm.
