He was born in Manchester on April 21, 1933 and was the son of Maurice and Marie (Clang) Beland. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester who attended Brown School and was a graduate of West High School. He had been a lifelong communicant of the former St. Jean the Baptist Parish.
Paul served active duty in the Air National Guard during the Korean Conflict with the 133rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron. He was employed by Valet Cleaners and later as a Bread Route Salesman for Cote Bros.-Sunbeam Bread for 18 years followed by 12 years with J.J Nissen Baking Co. He was a member of Teamsters Local 686.
Paul will be remembered as a hard working, humble man, that was a loving and devoted husband, father, and pepere. He will be greatly missed in the hearts of those who loved and respected him for the values he stood for and his common sense approach to life.
IN HIS LIFE: The family includes 3 daughters, Elaine and Paul Lemieux, Jo-an and Michael Provencher, Charlene and Kenneth Desrochers. He has seven grandchildren: Dr. Audrey Herod, Matthew Lemieux, Katie Lemieux, Jeremy Provencher, Kelsey Desrochers, Nathan Provencher, Kyle Desrochers, and also one great grand-daughter Anna Herod. He has a sister, Leona Pichette of Keene. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Pauline Connors and his brother, Albert Beland.
A Mass of Christian Burial for both Mr. & Mrs. Beland was celebrated Saturday May 3, 2008 at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center, 1276 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
