Paul G. Courtemanche, Sr., 81, of Manchester, died July 8, 2021 at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness.
A lifelong resident of Manchester, Paul was born on September 15, 1939 to Lionel and Loyola (Chauvin) Courtemanche.
After high school, Paul worked for PSNH. In 1972, he and his wife purchased Horace Appliance, which they ran together for many years. At his passing, he was the owner/operator of Quality Repair Service. He also served in the NH Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alena (Strickland) Courtemanche of Manchester; two children, Paul Courtemanche, Jr. and his wife, Bai, and Timothy Courtemanche and his wife, Dianna, all of Manchester; a grandson, Alec Courtemanche and his wife, Samantha, of Manchester; two great-grandchildren, Alistair and Marie Jane; 10 siblings, Robert, Clarice Barbeau, Bernard and wife Sandra, Jeannine Desjardins and husband Edward, Phyllis Newman and husband Harold, Jacqueline Auger, Marc and wife Donna, Claudette, Michel and wife Joanne, and Jules and wife Terry; and many nieces and nephews.
He and Alena enjoyed road trips, Sunday drives and audio books.
He was predeceased by his parents and 5 siblings: Eugene, Lionel, Loyola, Robert and Leonard.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
