Paul A. Faford, 73, of Manchester, died Friday September 21, 2018 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Webster, MA on May 20, 1945, he was the son of Arthur and Marie (St. George) Faford.
Paul attended Assumption Prep School, and graduated from Conant High School, Jaffrey, class of 1963. He went to tech school for drafting, before he enlisted in the US Navy in 1963, and was honorably discharged. After the military he attended New Hampshire College for Business. He retired as a paraprofessional at Merrimack High School.
He was an avid race fan and participant, belonging to the Sports Car Club of America for over 30 years. He enjoyed cars, racing his Formula Vee, gardening, cruising with his wife, Elaine, to the Caribbean, but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Elaine (Germana) Faford; five children, Michelle L Bolton and her husband, Dustin, of Portland, OR, Norman Faford and his wife, Brenda, of Boise, ID, and Julian Lawrence and his partner, Tricia, of Portland, OR, Stacy Spencer and husband, Andy, of Mendon, MA, and Rick Germana and fiancée, Julie, of Swanzey; six grandchildren, Tyler, Tim, Justin, Alexa, Casey, and Nina; one sister, Jeanne LaBrie of Jaffrey; several nieces nephews and cousins; and his two beloved kitties Smokey and Marlow.
Burial with Military Honors took place on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
