Paul H. Fournier, 89, of Manchester died March 7, 2006 at the Elliot Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Derry on March 19, 1916 and was the son of Lorenzo and Clara (Martin) Fournier.
He was a member of St. Catherine Church.
Mr. Fournier had been a production worker for Disogrin, retiring in 1979. He was a lifelong Democrat who volunteered his services for the candidates of his choice. He was a security guard at the Currier Art Gallery.
Family members include his wife of over 60 years, Rita (Bourgeois) Fournier of Manchester; a daughter, Phyllis Valavane of Candia; a son, Norman Fournier of Manchester; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Fournier of Bowie, MD and a sister, Cecile Chandonnet of Spring Hill, FL.
IN HIS LIFE: He was an avid reader and loved to watch the Red Sox. He was known for his good sense of humor. He was pre-deceased by 2 sisters, Elsie Doucet and Lauretta Donahue.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday March 11, 2006 in St. Catherine Church, Webster St. Manchester. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, So. Beech St., Manchester.
