Paul D. Melanson

Paul D. Melanson 59, of Goffstown, died Friday September 16, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital following a long illness, surrounded by his family and friends. He kept a positive attitude and was a fighter to the end and will we greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was born in Toronto, Canada January 30, 1952 to Armand and Mary (Fleming) Melanson. He and his family moved to the United States in the early sixties and lived in Cambridge MA and Dover, NH. before moving to Manchester and later to Goffstown, NH.

He graduated from Dover High School class of 1970 and entered the US Marine Corp.

Paul worked at NH Insurance, PSNH and later in computer security for T-D Bank.

He was a member and club officer for the Tri Spokes Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his willingness to help others.

Paul enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and cruising with friends.

He leaves his beloved wife of 38 years, Susan (Ellis) Melanson; a sister, Deborah Litchfield and her husband, Charles, of Davenport, FL.; one Aunt, Doris Gaudet of Canada; a niece, Lynn Depalma and her husband, Mark; a sister in-law, Sheila Ellis of Jaffery, NH. his 1st cousin, Ron Melanson and his wife, Susan of Brampton, Canada and numerous other cousins, friends, and his cat Mya.

Services:

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., with the Rev. John Fleming officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH of which he was an ardent supporter, and mailed to 545 Route101, Bedford, NH 03110
